Dr. Charles Carpenter brings over a decade of experience in preventive, integrative, and addiction medicine to Renew Medical. A graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine and board-certified in Preventive Medicine and Holistic Medicine, he combines evidence-based treatment with compassionate, individualized care.At Renew Medical, Dr. Carpenter provides expert medical oversight and collaborates with our clinical team to ensure safe, effective, and personalized care for every patient.
His background in addiction medicine and whole-person wellness allows him to support clients through treatment and recovery with a focus on long-term health, stability, and restored well-being.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice & Palliative Care, he brings extensive experience from UCLA, Mount Sinai, and NYC Health + Hospitals. Dr. Raphael is dedicated to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care—supporting individuals and families through every

stage of recovery and wellness with clinical excellence and humanity. Dr. Raphael works closely with the Renew clinical and case management teams to ensure continuity of care across treatment settings. His leadership emphasizes evidence-based medicine, communication, and a holistic understanding of each patient’s physical and emotional well-being—helping clients heal with dignity and sustained support.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Yeshiva University in New York City, then completed her physician assistant training at Western University of Health Sciences. Her education and clinical background give her a strong foundation in both

medical science and patient-centered care. As Clinical Director at Renew Medical Group, Erika oversees and delivers care with a clear focus on safety, thoughtfulness, and outcomes. She works closely with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure that treatment plans are individualized, medically sound, and aligned with each patient’s goals. Erika is committed to providing care that helps patients not only look their best, but feel stronger, healthier, and more confident from the inside out.

Erika has more than six years of experience in primary care and addiction medicine, with a special emphasis on aesthetic medicine. This combination allows her to address both medical and cosmetic concerns with a careful, integrated approach. Patients and colleagues know her for her calm presence, attention to detail, and her genuine investment in helping people feel better in their own skin.

As CEO of Renew Medical Group, Fred Bass has spent more than a decade building and overseeing clinical services for treatment centers, from crisis intervention and patient stabilization to case management and continuity of care. His leadership is rooted in practical experience on the ground,working directly

with facilities to strengthen outcomes, streamline communication, and support clients through the most critical phases of recovery. He leads Renew with a firm, human approach, committed to raising the bar for how care is delivered and how families are supported. In his role at Renew, Fred focuses on building strong clinical partnerships with treatment centers and creating reliable systems that support both providers and patients. He believes that good care starts with solid relationships and clear communication, and he works hard to make sure teams feel supported, informed, and equipped to do their best work. His leadership style is direct, dependable, and shaped by years of real experience in the field.

Fred studied Business and Marketing at Santa Monica College and is known for running tight, thoughtful operations. Before joining Renew, he founded Elite Home Detox, where he set the standard for personalized and discreet in-home detox care. His own path in long-term sobriety gives him a level of insight and purpose that cannot be taught in a classroom.

Alisha Bass, CADC I, serves as Director of Operations at Renew Medical Group, where she works directly with partner facilities to ensure documentation, signatures, and compliance processes meet the highest possible standard. She acts as a trusted operational resource for facilities across the RMG network,

helping teams stay audit-ready and consistent day in and day out. Alisha also serves as a consultant supporting DHCS, state, Joint Commission, and CARF accreditation processes for select facility partners — bringing hands-on expertise to some of the most demanding compliance requirements in the industry.

With over 10 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment across detox, residential, outpatient, and sober-living levels of care, Alisha combines deep industry knowledge with genuine crisis intervention skill and a customer-service mindset that puts facility partners and their clients first. That combination — technical compliance expertise paired with real relationship-building — is a core part of how she helps Renew Medical Group expand, strengthen its facility partnerships, and ensure every client at every facility receives the best possible care. Known for her kind, approachable leadership style, Alisha is committed to supporting both providers and staff, and remains deeply invested in helping teams work together toward stronger outcomes and lasting compliance.

Glynis brings nearly six years of hands-on experience in behavioral health and addiction treatment, with a career built from the ground up. Starting in an entry-level administrative role, her work ethic and commitment quickly propelled her into leadership. As the first employee at a startup treatment program,

she advanced through Housing Director, Admissions Coordinator, and ultimately Director of Business Development — giving her a rare, ground-level understanding of what it takes to build a treatment organization from scratch.

She went on to lead business development for a multi-site organization serving 100+ clients across seven facilities, where she built and managed SEO and ad campaigns while running a high-performing outreach team.

Deeply connected to the recovery community, Glynis brings empathy, authenticity, and innovation to every partnership she builds at Renew Medical Group. Outside of work, she is an avid marathon runner, a live music enthusiast, and a proud Boston native now enjoying the California sunshine.
